    Looking to get tickets to something on in the new year as a Christmas present for my 16 year old brother. Something in Cork or Dublin in the rock / indie / alternative category. Does anyone have any suggestions, or know of any gig that will let under 18s in?

    Smashing Pumpkins - Feb 9th in the RDS. Tickets not on sale yet.

    Frank Black (Lead singer of The Pixies) - 9th Feb, tickets on sale now (search for Black Francis on ticketmaster)

    Not sure about the under 18 thing though.

    Pumpkins would be a good bet as Timans said. Big gig too, so most likely under 18's would be allowed in. Bar in RDS is seperate from venue iirc.

    Dropkick Murphys in the Tripod on Jan 31st would be a great gig, tickets only €25 from www.tickets.ie
