    Just to let anyone who plans to order from pixmania for xmas to order very early ..

    I placed an order on the 6th November for an Item that was in stock. I was told to allow 4 days for delivery. The item wasn't dispatched until the 14th ! and I still haven't received it.

    Bad enough that it was dispatched 4 days ago and I still haven't recieved it but just crazy that it took them 8 days to dispatch it.

    My advice is to order early or elsewhere.

    did you get your goods yet?
    Want to get a HD-DVD player and pixmania is the only place that has the one I want and ships to ireland. I have not bought from them before so am a bit nervous as I remember from a while ago that their CS was poor.

    i had the same problem with some pc stuff i ordered. Ridiculous dispatch time altogether. Apparently the reason is because they do some kind of "security check" on each order before dispatch. Its something to be aware of unless your the very patient type...

    maybe they wait to batch deliveries together.

    I ordered something from their French site on Friday evening and it arrived this morning, couldn't be happier with the service.

    I had this too and it created hassle for me because I moved house while waiting for them to get it in stock and deliver it, and they wouldn't allow me change the delivery address.
    I think they use GLS also. The delivery was fine in this instance once it had been dispatched, but I've had a couple of crap experiences with GLS and there are loads of stories about them.

    they're tough to beat on price for the goods though. im sure their cheapness will lure me in again. dont really mind waiting if the price is right and I get the stuff in the end, which I did.
