Right I went through the show me yours thread and the tattoist and piercers in Ireland thread and didnt have much luck, just wondering if anyone knows of a tattoist whos good with lettering? Got my other tatt done by Mariusz in Snakebite and loads of people have commented on how well done it is, for thin lines etc, that its difficult to get an artist who has that steady a hand etc, and my next tatt is gonna be sorta elegant writing stuff.

I'm inclined to go back to Mariusz, from the experience of my own but also from having seen an example or two of other lettering he's done, but just wondering if anyone else has any suggestions or experience?

i'd my polar bear done from my own handwriting, which i swear, used to make my teachers cringe upon seeing it... tis small, and curly, and darren in colourworks absolutely nailed it...

you'll probably still go with mariusz... but just throwin out there that darren's a pretty competent choice too.

I had my lettered tattoo done by Mark in Wildcat, Stephen's Green. He completely did what I wanted and was a lovely guy too.

Lettering should be very simple for any good tattoo artist in my opinion. :D
i think lettering on its own can be boring, maybe incorporate it into a bigger piece?

Ok, MS paint is NOT my friend but I put a little summthin summthin together to try explain what I'm lookin for!

the top left pic is some chick who's back im takin advantage of, the black thing on her right is my current tatt, the black squiggle on the right is roughly where I want this new one

the writing is what I'm thinkin of gettin, this could still change but so far this is it! And not neccassarily that font but summit like that

the pic on the left is someone's arm, as if I get that text I want a wee shooting star under it, not quite like that in the pic though, hence my badly done shooting star dealie beside it!

The pick contradicts your description of it... :S

anywho, only thing I can say is that hopefully you don't plan on getting the text too small, as it will smudge. Best thing to do is to have a look at the portfolios of artists you'd be interested in. I really like the idea, I have something similar myself and I love it!

the pic contradicts the idea cuz the pic is all in pieces, ye gotta put it together with the description...

    "Me fail English? That's unpossible!"

    :D:p

The contradictions lie in the pic of the stars you have included, and the single star with the trail, methinks.

yeah, I like the design of the star tatt i included, the solid stars, with the dotty bits and the flash kinda thingies, but i dont like how much of it there is, or how it's in a zig-zag pattern, so I drew the other one, to explain how I want it like the one thats there but simpler

You may have to start with simplifying what you're saying, cuz I couldn't make head nor tail of that one... sorry!
