Help with Zelda PH(Spoilers)

    So Ive gotten to the stage where you need the sun key to go any further in the temple. (Remember,you have to close the DS to transfer the location of the key onto your sea chart?). Well I have the key ages,and everytime I go to the temple back to the door it asks me to transfer it again,only problem is the mark is not there any more to transfer because I already did all that. It wont let me open the door. I know for a fact I have the key because its in my items. Is there anything I can do,I dont want to start again. Maybe if I go back to the spot where the key is and go back again,but I dont know where that is. Did this happen to anyone else?

    Remember the place where you had to dig a hole under a tree in one of the villages to access a secret room? The sun door is in there...
