Discovery Knowledge, existing ntl channels & PVR availability in chorus areas, when?

    Ok so basically im sick of ringing chorus/ntl to find out when the PVR will be available...Ive been told so many dates that i just dont care anymore...all I want now is when virgin one, discovery knowledge(had it for 2 weeks before) and all the other ntl channels will be available to chorus cable areas!
    Ive rang chorus numerous times about the pvr and have been fobbed off numerous times with new dates for availability...discovery knowledge and virgin one have not got definite dates for transmission! still and the PVR seems further away than ever!
    Does anyone know when we chorus cable customers will receive ntl channel lists? and service availability such as PVR and Digital Phone?
    I expected all of the above with the rebrand on 21st Oct but to my disappointment they just rebranded to Chorus/Ntl which is exactly the same as before with no changes!

    hi i rang up chorus about 2 weeks back they said the dvr is currently in testing in limerick area and we should have it january 08 fingers crossed:rolleyes: havent heard when the other channel will be added hopefully soon !!!

    Strange ,

    I ordered the PVR yesterday and have an install date of 8th Dec. Im in Swords on chorus digital cable.

    Just rang them again and was told "NO not in chorus areas until at least Jan08"....mscull I'd say you were able to order because you're in dublin...thats the first thing they ask you now!...If you are an ex-chorus customer anywhere else in the country they just say they dont have any dates for any new services...still kept me holding ten minutes while they checked though! :(

    Go with SKY! A little bit off topic for a minute but I will get to Digital. I'm having trouble with my NTL broadbnad, it hasn't worked for 4 days now, after spending 45 minutes on hold with UPC (NTL/Chorus) I was told that an engineer would have to call out, NEXT WEEK!! We are expected to continue paying for the service even though it is not working and will not be fixed for over a week.
    Now to get to Chorus, I am moving to Maynooth in December, I called UPC to ask about Digital & Broadband (my apartment is already rigged up for Chorus basic TV package) only to be told that neither Digital or Broadband is available from them in Maynooth. I just can't believe it, its only minutes outside of Dublin, hardly the middle of nowhere! I just think service overall from NTL/Chrous is dreadful. SKY are so much better. I'm going to get my digital with them and they couldn't have been more helpful when I called. Reasonably priced too!
