    Hi,
    I'm a very experienced bass player (both studio and live) and am currently playing in a covers band once a week. Although it pays the bills, i'd like to start up a side project originals only.

    I'm a Dublin based student and would love to meet other experienced musicicans to jam and just funk it out.

    If your comfortable to play with complete strangers, love music and are experienced, let me know.

    I say "experienced" alot but I am only 19 years old but playing bass since I was 11. and gigging since 14.

    please no timewasters or egos.

    anyway,i'd love to hear from ya.
    thanks.

    I'm in brand new rock band aged about 18-22 in Dublin (i'm a student too) and we're all still strangers to each other - only interested in originals, so I guess we have a lot in common. No egos but very ambitious. Collectively, we have lots of ideas so its a matter of getting them into the form of songs. Have drummer, singer and two guitarists so far. Need bassist and maybe keys/synth to expand the sound, we haven't fully decided yet.

    Everything from Led Zeppelin, Guns N' Roses, Metallica, Alice In Chains to Arcade Fire to Tom Waits, Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash, Nick Cave and lots of blues and rock n' roll too. Any kind of rock n'roll, blues or metal basically. Riff-based hard rock is most of what we're writing so far.

    We only just got started so don't have a website but I and the other guitarist have instrumental demos on MySpaces that might give you some idea of what we wanna play;

    www.myspace.com/gerhynes

    The first site is stuff I recorded a while ago but the stuff we'll write will hopefully be more varied. If your interested, PM me with your number and we'll meet up for a pint during the week. Might organise something in Loop Studios on Saturday as well.
