I know what it says in the small print, but have other BT users been charged for the excess? Or had their accounts suspended? Or both?

    OK, thanks - I deserve that. :)

I tend to give a lot of weight to reported first-hand experience, though, so I was hoping some other BT users who have already been in my position could take the time to post a few words.

No worries, though - the FAQ will do.

Anywhoo, fwiw, I'm with BT for 3 years or more and I hammer the cap almost every month. I've never been warned, charged, throttled or cut-off.:)
