Wonderful, melodious post-rock brilliance from NYC/Chicago/Madison/Austin/Milwaukee US. This shall be one of only 2 Irish dates Cougar play as they embark on their Autumn tour. Debut full-length 'Law' CD/LP available now, mixed by John Mcentire (Tortoise, The Sea and Cake).

'Law is a nearly flawless example of intelligent musical design.' - XLR8R

'Melodically lush, rhythmically compelling...gloriously precise and urgent.' - The Wire

'Pushing the boundaries of the instrumental music medium...Law hasn't left my stereo for weeks.' - CDreviews.com

'What Bartok and Stravisnky might have done had they lived and composed in the computer age.' - Rocknworld.com

    HALFSET

    275955809_l.jpg
Halfset are an electronic quartet featuring Stephen Shannon (producer/engineer) , Jeff Martin (who has released two solo albums to date), Cillian Mc Donnell (formerly of Jubilee Allstars and electro act Hidden Fortress) and Sinead Nic gearailt.

Originally conceived as a studio project to record one song, the dynamic worked so well that the band decided to rise to the challenge of taking their complicated set-up to a live audience. They employ an unusual combination of programmed beats and live instruments - including vocals, drums/persussion, guitars, glockenspiel, harp, trumpet, mandola and old analog synths.

    ALMOST CLICHÉ

Almost Cliché have changed styles, members and haircuts so much over their 3 and a half years of being a band it's hard to place them into a specific category! Hugely influenced by On The Might Of Of Princes-Esque emotional rock alongside Punk, Post-Rock and Dance, they have modestly begun stating their genre as ''Liquid Silk''.

Members of Kidd Blunt, Enemies and Apes Of Wrath.

    ENEMIES

    l_e4a81fd99b40a10b0630118d806c0f2f.jpg
A relatively new prog/post-rock foursome formed from the ambition of ''New Man Eoin'' to write and play as a full band. Since their beginning in Spring of this year Enemies have already recorded their first EP to be released on Popular Records in early 2008 and have played a handful of well-recieved gigs on the backs of Popular Posterboys; Adebisi Shank, Terrordactyl and Vimanas.

Members of Rocket Surgery, Almost Cliche, Kidd Blunt, Soldiers Take Half
