Thats just plain mean. The console is going for 400-500 euro on ebay,but I'd say ud have a little bit of a problem if u bundled it all together, out of most peoples price range. Still, impressive collection

Okay what ARE you talking about..where DO the original copies come from??...first im not selling anything...i just wanted to know the value of it if i was to sell...second the wii CANNOT be bricked from a system update..the chip only is only a drive chip which there is no way in hell nintendo can check..so get your facts right..Sleazy is a bit harsh for something so irrelevant aswell

Yes the wii can be bricked from an update.
simply google and you will find out.
if you don't believe me try it.

If you advertised the above on eBay it would be removed as it's illegal.
if you want to challenge me on this, put it up there.

The only way to brick your wii is to update with a game thats not from your region..Such as NTSC wii updating with a pal version of Super Paper Mario...that is the only game to have caused this..Stop making up bull...do you think i do not know/would not care about the chances of bricking my precious wii...there is 0% chance of it happening unless your a freaking idiot and a freaking idiot would not have access to Ntsc wii with a pal paper mario and i can guarantee that...if you can prove me wrong have a shot..but you dont got a chance..You clearly dont know where to llok for information.

My wii is the latest 3.1 E...im half way through Ntsc version of Galaxy...d you want pics??

The amount of people that harp on about their R4s in the Nintendo forum is a joke.

the r4 has multiple uses, including emulation and homebrew.
talking about modding and chipping etc isnt against the general rules of boards (see the console modding forum as an example of this)
but the discussion of warez and or piracy crosses the line.

any discusssions on the r4 are very careful and clear to not wander into the realm of piracy

I use my R4 equiv. to run homebrew apps. Should I be banned? There is a very hefty difference between Piracy (d/l games and playing them via an R4) and running homebrew apps.

I've noticed it as well and almost banned a few people for it. I'm going to make a sticky about what can be discussed when talking about R4's. Basically talking about playing backups or bragging about playing back ups (although if some one is only using it to play a game early I will probably make some concessions for them) will not be looked upon favourably.

As subway mentioned(although he was talking about more than me), I thread extremely carefully about what i say about the R4. As far as i know i never once encouraged anyone to use for anything illegal, or against the charter.

EDIT:This guy was telling us all to mod our wiis and did not mention once about downloading all around us, big diffrence.:)

Just because something CAN be used for illegal things doesn't mean we shouldn't be allowed discuss its other uses! Heck if that was the case you may as well delete the computer section of boards!(not exactly the same i know but it was nice and dramatic don't you think!)

I have an R4 and personally i think they are amazing. Even if they were to remove that feature which makes talking about them an iffy subject i would still think its class!

Here's a very small list of homebrew games that alone would make the R4 card worth its price.

If I was to encourage people to download copyrighted material I would expect to banned

The issue is putting a value on pirated goods, thus crossing over into commerical copyright infringement. People harping on about R4's can do so under the premise of homebrew etc. No matter what you think, it is quite legitimate. This guy is blatently trying to see how much he can pimp his warez for once he's done with them. Its a pretty significant difference if you ask me.

the point, however, is that what you believe and what is explicitly stated by the people using that hardware are two completly different things.

i believe that ipods and the like encourage the obtaining of mp3s via non legit methods,
i believe there is not a single mp3 player owner out there who hasnt copied a friends cd, downloaded from kazaa, or taken a few tracks from a well stocked laptop.
this inferrance of mine is not enough to warrant the banning of there dicussion is it?

The people talking about playing games on their R4 are the ones I were specifically talking about.

Mentioning that you have an R4 to play homebrew is fine. But there are people who go on about crap like playing games they got from their "cousin" and all this lame crap.
