    Hi.
I find that when I do triceps extensions with a dumbell I get a bit of soreness around my right elbow around the triceps insertion.
No problems with my left elbow.

Anyone know what I can do with this.

Never had any problem with my elbow before so should resting it for a while sort it out.

Avoid doing the exercise. I had the same thing with skull crushers and ended up teariny my tricep....

    Thanks.
That's a shame because i actually like the exercise for some reason :)

What's the best alternative exercise do you know?

Should I just do dips .
    Or triceps kickbacks?

Change the orientation of the exericse. What sort of extension are you doing?

My elbow kills with skull crushers, but I can quite happily do lots of other extentions. My favourites being...

Rolling Dumbbell Extenstions - 35 secs into vid http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ma-9KdEVtpg)

    Tate Press http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MJJwvJ9i7Mo

Pushdowns are good as a finished. You can use loads of different ropes, handles etc. Dips are great, some swear by them but I'm not a fan.

    Seated Dumbbell Extenstions too http://www.binaraga.net/tips/images/FTR23.jpg

Tbh you'd probably get away with what you'redoing provided you're not working in sets below 10 or 12. I tore mine on like the 6th rep or something I think.

    Just be sensible.

There's so many other lifts you could be doing, I don't see the risk in tearing something just because...

Go with your instincts. They'll usually be right on things lik this.

I'm just doing the ordinary tricep extension while lying flat.
The Tate press looks interesting- seems to be a nice compound movement.

In the rolling dumbbell extensions those guys were using their shoulders for supporting the dumbbells- is this how it's meant to be done.

BTW very hot babe at start of first video. And she was deadlifting and squatting what looked like her own bodyweight. Hot :)

    Thanks again.
