Saw this ad for the first time last night, welcome back Paddington, glad to see he's walking around London with a suspicious looking briefcase, no ID papers and nothing but marmalade sandwiches.

He sold his soul to Marmite and I will never forgive him for that.
With a bit of luck that suspicious looking case and lack of ID will lead to him being shot by the police. Serves the little fuzzy fecker right for selling out.

Might have been selling out but it makes him a bit of a legend aswell - a byproduct of Guinness is used in Marmite so we at least know what beer he might have been into if he drank! :D

Seriously what is it with these shows returning ? I was in smyths the other day and they had Rupert Bear talking doll/teddy things so that show must be back too.

I think its this whole 80s resurgance thats been happening in the last couple of years. One of my lecturers said that people in the parental demographic are the ones who would be spending, and they were children in the 80s, so they remember a large majority of these programs and want to share them with their children. They also might not have had the money to buy the toys or figures at the time. So theres a demand there, and the people in the early 20s age group seem to love the 80s culture, and want to be part of it so dont mind the nostalgia. I couldnt see a 90s resurgance in the same way tbh
