I'd say install google analytics ... on your site ...

    www.google.com/analytics

has a huge amount of info and its very simple to set up you just add a line of code to your footer file (assuming you have one) or to each page on your site :)

    Three Options: (All free)

    1. Install http://www.google.com/analytics/ you have to add a little snippet of javascript code to every page you want tracked.

    2. Your web hosting provider may have log file analysers such as AWStats or Webalizer installed.

    3. If you have access to your website log files, you can process these locally using an application such as http://www.quest.com/funnel-web-analyzer/

    HTH

    Whats your site ?

hey, thanks for the help, site is www.sandfordlanguages.ie, a new site is to go live shortly, it will have analytics and all set up, also it is being optimised. The web has made a collosal difference to our marketing, tracing people from a paper base, is extremely time consuming...

to be honest ... it looks pretty much the same as analytics from google the only difference being it will give you reports real time ...

I know that FireStats will do this as well

Just because GA is free, doesn't make it any less powerful.

I suggest using GA, even more so if you are using Google Adwords.
