I read about it in the Sunday papers. Last night's Herald had something about our of the TV3 presenters being in talks with RTE about the replacement show.

I used to love the show but I haven't watched it in ages because I couldn't afford/would never wear most of the clothes! Is it really ending?

All they ever showed was overpriced granny clothes from boutiques down the country anyway, I don't see a loss

and the make up artists and stylists obviously had vision problems

It must be very fulfilling for the presenters of that show that in spite of all the troubles in the world and all the important issues that affect the great Irish people, they can tell people what shoes are in fashion this season. Yes, theirs is truly gods work

In fairness that's a problem all RTE shows seem to have. What ordinary person can spend €35k on a garden or the property shows were they show them houses that are about €40k outside their price range. I don't know about anyone else but I've never heard of a builder giving someone €40k do do up a showhouse either. All those shows are geared towards rich people but thats a very small market and as a consequence the shows don't do well.

Im involved in engineering, in helping design the structure for buildings. I dont know about anyone else, but at least I and the majority of the irish people (shopkeepers, council workers, builders, lawyers, etc) contribute something to society instead of the pointless tripe on off the rails

hardly sorting out the important issues affecting the great irish people though it it?

As for council workers, lawyers and builders contributing something to society, I think that is pretty much what this guy was invented for:rolleyes:

    Go naturism!

OT: The two presenters have become increasingly cringe-worthy in their sub-Sarah Jessica Parker attempts to be sassy so I'm not surprised it's losing viewers. Also, it tries to cater for too wide an audience - people who follow fashion one second, track-suit wearing biddies getting a make-over the next.

Ah god help us if Caroline Pigface is going to present the den, it will damage the kids up and down the country. Hope Dustin rips into the cow!

It entertained thousands every week and gave you something to bitch about... I think thats reason enough for it to exist. Each week for half an hour those viewers were not on the streets doing drugs or selling their post menopausal bodies.

I fail to see what the problem is

And re "pigface", I would say its quiet a step down. I've never heard of anyone going from kids TV to adult TV and then back down again... Very few RTÉ One presenters move back to RTÉ Two and it's certainly frowned upon by the powers that be. She's done Off the Rails for nearly 5 years, if she hasn't made her mark in the world of grown up presenters by now then I doubt there's much hope. I don't think we will be seeing Caroline on our screens for too much longer.

I used to love the fore-runner to this show when I was about 9 (used to be on a Friday night years ago, can't remember the name), but I haven't watched it at all in years. It's rubbish so good riddance.
