just saw that a few mins ago, having fondled Ample Free...'s TM Sig 552 the other day while doing an upgrade for him, im very tempted to pick one up myself, they are quite nice and the TM one is solid as a rock, hopefully the JG will be the same

    old news ;)

(and to set matters right, I never drooled, Falls ... I just bought a TM one then I've been drooling ever since :D)

kdouglas, do you think the stock internals would take a systema 1J spring and that 'special' 9,6? Got the spring already, and if I remember right the 'special' 9,6 was cheap as chips (€25, was it?). RoF is already close to double that of my ex-DBoys M4 with the same battery (8,4V 1600), can't imagine what it would be like with a 9,6

I'll be 'breaking her in' this Saturday at HRTA for the first time, for anyone who wants a look/see of the TM version.

ambro: it's up to yourself if you want to try it, as i've said before, my TM p90 runs fine with everything stock except 1J spring and 9.6v battery, although i do have a set of steel bushings ready to go in, just havent gotten around to it yet, Ample Free...'s one is firing 19/20 rounds a second with the high speed gears and 9.6v battery

I agree with KD, you shouldn't have any problems using a 1 joule spring at 9.6v's with nylon bushings unless they are very badly made. They will go a bit quicker but I'd still expect them to last for months of use at minimum.

Nice to see this gun finally coming out. Wont be getting it myself but i know alot of people have been waiting for it and it will be nice to see a little more variety on the field.

Mmm... kdouglas, we'll have a word this Saturday then, if you're around HRTA.

I'll need Paul to chrono it (stock) before the 1st skirmish per site rules anyway, be interesting to find out & have a reference point for as & when JG FPS figures come out.

I don't suppose the JG's gonna be full metal, is it?

I'd say it will be just the sights, cocking lever, trigger, barrel and flash hider that will be metal. Similar the JG G36C.

well the G36 has a plastic body for a reason, the real one isn't metal

True but the JG HK416 is mainly ABS, so I don't think the 552 will have a metal body.

true, but abs isnt necessarily a bad thing if it's good quality, the TM abs is very good on the 552

and once some of you lot get your JG 552, here's some modding ideas (I also like his G3 -bottom of page 1 and on page 2- actually!)
