Just wondering if any one here runs games on their macbook and how they run.

Was thinking of getting Football Manager 2008 which should work fine on my black macbook, but then I played my brothers copy of civilization 4 and even though I've got the reccomended system requirements,it's running too slowly for my liking.

Anyone got games for their mac...how well do they work?

Anyone even got the new footie manager??

Sorry, it only plays on the white macbooks.

you can download a program from Aspyr which shows which games can run on your system.

The regular Macbook comes with Intel integrated graphics which is by all accounts terrible for anything remotely intensive, though Football Manager would be fine, as it has incredibly low system requirements.

Have the 2.0gHz/2GB Ram myself and games like Unreal Tournament 2004 and Call of Duty 2 run fine on high settings.

Haven't tried anything more recent than those... at least until Fallout 3.

COD2 works on a normal Macbook? Might give that a shot then :)

he was poking fun at the OP's thinking that s/he needed to mention it was a black macbook.

i haven't tried installing games on my macbook but if it's as Rhyme says eg. UT2k4 COD2 running then bashing cs and hl1 games on and what more do you need?

List of games currently available on Mac.

Shoddily photoshopped image of the games i have.

I put all the icons in my dock so to have them all in the same place. Normally my dock is quite sparse, vitals only.

Call of duty 2 can only be running in Dx7 mode though, which even at high settings is much worse then moderate dx9 settings. Just in case anyone gets deluded into thinking COD2 runs at full whack on Intel X3100 (I'm assuming you have this, not the older 950)

I have Sim City 4 deluxe edition and Tropico 2 both run ok but get slow down when you get further in the game which is a bit annoying.
Going to get Football Manager 2008 next

    http://ioquake3.org/
Grab the .pk3 files from your copy of Win32 Quake3

Runs fine on my MacBook with the 'usual' graphics settings (floored4speed)
