All the boards sites just went down for a half hour or so.

    Do I need to worry?

And alas, Scotland is well-known for the low-fat and low-sugar diet of its citizens.

The entire drop downs along the top of the page have disappeared on me.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 37,316 ✭✭✭✭the_syco

If You Post All In Caps It Turns Out Like This. It's Basically A Shout Filter.

The whole post has to be in capitals. This includes the quote tags and everything in between. I wonder is there a way that can be changed though.

    The "shout filter" options are
Prevent your users 'shouting' in their thread titles/message text by changing all-uppercase titles with at least this many characters to capitalization only on the first letters of some words.

Set the value to 0 to disable this function.

Disable this for some international forums with different character sets, as this may cause problems.
The Help for the option is
Prevent 'SHOUTING' Users who type words in all CAPS will have them changed to first-letter-capitalization only, or all lowercase, depending on the word(s), if the text contains at least this many characters.
If you set this to 0, this function will be disabled.
For some international forums with different character sets this setting may cause issues, and in that case should be disabled.
