Great episode. Dex headbutting Doakes and outwitting him the whole time. Great stuff! Didn't see that headbutt coming at all!

The Doakes stuff was beautiful wasn't it? As much as I love Doakes, he had it coming. I hope now he increases the stakes now that he's permanently off duty.

I liked that Dexter began to re-discover a bit of balance here with the family he was leaving behind. He may not be driven by Harry's code but he does have some empathy, some connection with a family and steadiness. Lilah is clearly a few knives short of a butcher set and her role now will be more interesting - she's unstable and she may topple Dexter down with her.

I did think this episode focused just a little too much on relationships though - would have preferred for Dexter to find a victim this week to dispense justice and the Bay Harbour butcher bit was, until the end, mostly padding. Good to see how Dexter tripped himself up but the assumptive leap they made to him being in law enforcement (rather than, y'know, watching the many TV shows about law enforcement!) was a bit of a stretch. Loved how Dexter constructed it though - a two fingers to the cheap psycho-analysis of "Criminal Minds" and their ilk :D

i really enjoyed the ep! i gave it a "dexter's my hommie" when in reality, the last option will always be the most accurate ;)

i love how lila has a bit more depth than "oooh i can seee so deeeply (and sennnsually) into your deeepest thoughts" bla bla, but the whole psycho thing; it was always coming wasnt it..

ah doakes. doaked out of it he was. (internet saying in no time)

one thing that ive found... creepy so far in this season is the introduction of (technically...) the so sorely lacking in their lives father figure for deb and mother figure for dex, who they have now respectively started banging. yikes...

great ep though :) more of lila....

ugh... I hope Dex kills her. Everything about her is repulsive, her skeletal body, her crap london accent and the real shmarmy way she holds herself.

But I think thats what the writers want us to think, she is the wedge between Rita and Dex.

Really enjoyed this episode. Waiting to see if Dex cops onto Lilas manipulation in the next episode

oh, she's horribly frustrating to listen to!
not so much to watch... she'd well get it

Yeah that was my favourite line in the series, when he said to Doakes "I own you"
    Class stuff

Also considering Lilah, i think she was much hotter when she was in 'Hustle'

Love that episode. Glad to see him return finally, well the dark side anyway. He went a bit touchy feely for a bit and then on the defensive. Glad to see him take charge. Season finally shud be good :D
