Anyone know who's supporting Wilco in Vicar St on Wed/Thurs, can't find it anywhere.

    Cheers.

It's not up anywhere but his support in the US was Dr. Dog and Andrew Bird.

Off-topic, does anyone know if the soundcheck is open and if so what time?

I doubt it's Andrew Bird,he can pull his own crowds over here.

I heard the name of the support act and I can't remember what it is but i think it's some female vocalist who apparently isn't much good.

    Also,can't wait!!

Support is Laura Isibor on Wednesday and Ollie Cole on Thursday

I have a spare ticket or maybe two to this gig for Thursday , as they were bought as a present for someone who can't go now, so I don't know if I'll be going or not now as I am pretty sick at the moment . So if anyone wants them or has any idea what I can do with them .PM me .
PS if it agains board rules to be asking this ,I'm sorry , but I don't want the ticket/tickets to go to waste,

    Amy

Thanks for the info Bubs. Tell you what I have an out of date coupon book for Supermacs and some betamax video tapes. Have those and we'll call it quits.

that was great. Two hour set aswell and some good banter. Loved the bacharach bit. Any chance of an mp3 from the person who put up the tweedy solo gig one?

It was definitly taped but it probably won't be up for another week or so.

Could someone PM me the link to the Vicar street show last year. Was there but didn't get the MP3. Alass it was before I found message boards

Last night was possibly the best gig i've been to.

Casino Queen.... My lord you're mean. What a treat

Again if someone finds the link when it goes up i'd love to get a copy, the bootleg from the solo tweedy show is pretty crap, well the one i had was anyway. It was recorded on an mp3 player and every minute or so the player would whirrr loudly and you can hear it through out the songs.

There could be a few on youtube if memory serves...

Great gig, first time seeing the band live...

    Nels Cline is a legend....

In fact, the whole band are excellent musicians...

John flashed me a massive grin when they kicked in to Casino Queen due to me requesting it all night and a long long and extemely embarrassing story about a Wilco gig in Italy this summer which invovled Vodka, shouts of "Jeff, Casino Queen" and then hospital.

If you don't tell the story about how you threw up on the stage in Turin, I'm afraid I'll be forced to. :D

Was there on Friday. It was a great show. They seemed to be in great form. Probably cause they were about to go home. Via Chicago was incredible.
