When setting up an eircom wireless modem is it OK to plug the filters into the actual landline phone itself rather than into a wall socket? It would be more convenient.

    Thanks

These are bascially low pass filters i.e. allow analog telephone through while filter high freq DSL out. What I can remember from my college days reversing the circuitry (see pic) will change its the behaviour, so I think the answer is no :)
