Dont know if this has been covered yet, but for anyone thinking of getting a phone on the TESCO MOBILE network pay as you go, be carefull as you only recieve bonus credit on condition that you send them your old sim card and the monthly credit that you normally get with other networks will only be credited to you if you top up by 20 euro a month..Not very fair if you dont use the phone very much...just thought I would let you all know...bye for now:(

Don't 3 and Meteor both make you top up x amount per month as you receive the free credit?

And isn't sending the SIM back only for an extra tenner and doesn't have an effect on the rest of the free credit?

send them an old sim gets you €20 in the post - although i dont know how long this will take! and you must top-up by €20 to get ONLY €8.50!

with three network you top-up by ten to get ten

and meteor do say on their website "dependant on monthly top-up" but i have never had to top-up for registration or for upgrade credit with meteor it would appear this is there either as an error or in case they introduce it in the future?

    Not true

Sending your old sim gets you an extra 20 eur credit. This is applied by care and not posted.

You qualify for drip feed credit of varying amounts depending on handset purchased irrespective of this offer (but you do need to top up by 20 eur each month to continue to get drip feed - missing a month of 20eur means you just miss that month).

Vodafone are also doing that now, to get the €10 free credit each month you need to top-up €10 each month.

Why not just get a bill phone? I'm on O2's active life 150 and have recently become eligible for an upgrade. I'm going to get a Sony Ericssson w810i for €30 and will be getting an additional 100 free minutes and 100 texts (on top of my normal allowance of 180 minutes and 120 texts) for the first 10 months of my 1 year contract. All this for €35 a month!
