    FOREVER PRESENTS
    DROPKICK MURPHYS
    PLUS SPECIAL GUESTS
    TRIPOD, DUBLIN
    DOORS 7:30PM
    THU 31-JAN-08

This bad always do a great show, nice to see them coming back, was listening to their album The Warriors Code and I would highly recommend it. Theyre touring on the back of their last album The Meanest of Times on which they do a brilliant cover of Thin Lizzys Jailbreak

This smells so badly of one of the many little companies that pop up randomly to promote gigs in the hope that the punters won't realise that a certain company that cant be mentioned are really promoting it. Seriously. Propagandhi found out that that certain company were the ones promoting their Dublin gig and cancelled it straight away. What did that certain company do? Went off and made a new company and approached the band to play........

Unfortunely its a sad state of affairs if that turns out to be the case. Id hate to think that buisnesses werent being transparent because they wanted to perhaps diguise their dominance of the market by confusing customers into thinking that they didnt have the majority shareholding in organising events that they do.

It would make me very sad to hear that, but the reason I put this event up, is because tickets are available on both ticketmaster.ie and tickets.ie (and the latter usually has nothing to do with mainstream concerts)

Oh great. It's run by someone who is ex-unnamed company.

    Brian Bradley, anyone???

Considering the venue, its highly unlikely to have anything to do with the promoter that can't be named here

thought it was 31st Dec, would have been a good way to enter the new year anyway!

Would have been even better if they'd have decided to hold it on March 17th instead of going back to Boston again for that next year. A St Patrick Day show with the Dropkick Murphys in Dublin would make up for their appauling Dec 23rd show last Christmas supporting the Pogues in the Point. Ive never seen a support band come on earlier and play as short of a set.

Eh? That was two Christmas's ago and they've played here since. Besides can we talk about that?

    I suppose not

Actually, youre right, they did play here since. They play here every year, which is cool, I havent had the chance to see them in a while. I was abroad the last time, in Boston ironically, so it'll be good to see them. It'll also be good to see an event in the Tripod since the last event there I was supposed to go and see (W.A.S.P. promoted by Raglane) was cancelled and relocated to the TBMC
