I have an old replica of an 1911 lying about the place for years
and when I bought the WE-1911 yesterday I thought maybe I could
replace the brown grips with the black ones of the replica...but later
changed my mind. Anyway said I would compare the two and post
some pics at the same time.

Here are the two together. The Airsoft version has way better detail
and has a better feel to it. Its ever ever so slightly lighter. I tried
to weigh them on a digital weighing scale to compare but it would
not recognize the weight as they were too light. Unfortunately the same
scale recognizes me on it all too well.

Looking down from the top you see the the Airsoft version has sharper sights
and a nice silver barrel and slide.

Airsoft version has detail on the trigger itself but the replica does not:

The details on the magazine release and on the slide are much sharper
    on the airsoft

The Hammer has nice sharp details on Airsoft again the replica has poor detailing:

Again Pleasure to look at the slides and work them, Airsoft stays back with
an empty mag in replica just cocks the trigger:

Sharp cut details on the slide of the WE 1911 the 2nd notch you see here
is used to remove the slide release switch as it wont come out unless
you line this notch up with it:

The beaver tail like safety grip is different on both.

    Magazine differences:
Note on the airsoft version you can lock back the spring guide in a notch
at the bottom of the magazine, this allows you to fill it through the round
hole at the bottom of the mag quickly (found that out the hard way) so
you don't have to load them one by one from the top. Also the magzine
is single stacking so there are no feed issues like you see sometimes
    with double stacked magazines.

The WE-1911 is a pleasure to fire. Its god a nice hard kick to to and
the BB's fly out at a fair ol speed. It broke Clays (from clay pigeon shooting)
fine from 10m on a first hit with a singe round.
