    Hi,

I'm teaming up with someone who already has a website on the go for the last 10 years. My name will be added to the whois info. Does anyone know if google will take note of a whois amendment and reduce its serps?

    Thanks

I thought it only depended on the age of the domain, didn't think updating the whois details would effect things?

Keeping the whois data up to date and accurate is important.

I don't think you would be penalised unless the domain was deregistered and snapped, which isn't the case in this instance

Once i get placed on the whois does that effectively mean i own half of the site or is it possible for the original owner to get it changed back with me being consulted?

    Thanks

It depends which email address is associated with it

Thanks, i'll see if its possible for them to have two admin emails on it and only amend when both have been informed.
