Being a bit lazy, I haven't posted any images in a while, so here're a few results of a trip up to Woodstock gardens in Inistioge last weekend, and first proper results of playing with my new toy.

Go on, how long did it take you to find such a pristine conker???? :p I'm still looking for one that good!

The composition in the last is superb as well. That's a shot for a calendar if ever I saw one ;)

3rd and 4th are my favorites -- love the isolation of the leaf in the 4th -- but the 3rd is my favorite , with the claw shaped mossed feet of the tree -- nice

i love autumn but i find it can be hard to photograph well, due to the misty light

Best thing is to use that mist as back lighting effect - you can get a very pleasing "glow" esp early in the day.

    Wow

Hee.. there was a wee bit of rearranging that went on there for artistic effect, but no chestnut travelled more than 20 meters in this scene. I was just disappointed I couldn't come up with more that could be taken home and roasted!

Agreed. That's one of the great things about autumn. It is hit and miss though. I actually dragged myself out of bed early this morning as the sky looked promising for some mist and/or nice sidelighting in the dunes in Tramore. After having been gorgeous all week, I just ended up with it being overcast, so it's off the the mono converter to see what I can come up with.
