    Hi Guys

basically we are waiting for our new house for nearly a year, we have had to rent a new place (lease up on old rented house) and have had to put furniture/kitchen/appliances etc that we bought for the new place into storage.

obviously my question is can we be compensated in anyway for these expenses by the development company? i dont really think so myself but if there was anyway of getting any little thing out of them or even just annoying them in some way then i would be just as satisfied as getting totally compensated for everything, the bastids!!!

It matters as to whether you have signed a contract of not.

The contract may specify a completion date and/or a procedure for getting a completion date.

If the other party hasn't signed the contract, there is nothing you can do - unless you want to tell them you are shopping around.

    What he said.

But I gather 'they' are keen to get people in quicky & are willing to give a little extra to make the move easier. This can include extrassuch as landscaping garden etc...
