Nape Piercing and Squatting

I'm just after booking a session for my Nape piercing:

For those who don't know what it is - but I might be getting it a bit lower on the neck (for work reasons)

Now, I'm just after realising it's really going to fcuk up my squatting - barbell on neck etc.

So would I get by with DB's, front squats and other lunges and calf work - or is the BB Squat a big part of leg development?

I really should think ahead when doing this stuff.

The bar shouldn't be on your neck while squatting, but you might want to stick a mepore pad over your nape while you're in the gym, or else try a safety squat bar or something similar. It can be done, I've had 4 nape piercings and still managed to squat with them in.

The bar sits across the shelf formed by the rear delt and the traps, not youre neck. You should be fine.

Would a front squat not do the job too, Ok I know it has a slightly different emphasis but it essentially it will get the job done without loading the piercing.

It might not load the piercing, but it wouldnt be loading your legs either.

    Do whichever is more important.
