    hi
im selling computers on Ebay the past few years
and this week alone i have had 4 non paying bidders
1 thought they were bidding in Euros
and 3 never bothered to pay costing me 20 Euros on listing fees per item
im convinced that the entire ebay is totally geared towards buyer protection even though 1/5 of all the winners of my auctions are hacked into accounts and the buyer sends me a fake paypal email and then asks me to ship to Nigera....
im a Powerseller with 99.5 % positive feedback
you have to bendover backwards if somebody threathens neg feedback
as it HUGELY affects sales if you have 1 person leave you a neg comment
i have had people leave me neg feedback beacuse the computer got a virus 3 weeks after they bought it and blamed me its a complete nightmare the way its all geared towars the seller and honest sellers like myself are not protected in anyway at all
i have had the lot scammers ,Kids bidding ,PayPal Chargebacks ,people threathing neg feedback because they got virus on machine

    VENT VENT VENT!!!!!

Set a price with immediate payment requirement.
Set Buyer Requirements in My ebay eg Require paypal account holder, don't allow buyers regd in countries you don't ship to, etc

I've sold a few scammer prone items myself and only nearly got caught by a Lithuanian. Paypal copped the credit card scam.

You should also check other items a buyer has purchased recently in Advanced Search. I was trying to buy a phone one day and was outbid by a guy who had won 30 phones in the previous hour.

I'm convinced that it's actually in ebay's interest to have a certain level of scammers as you only get insertion fee credit once.

You should be able to claim this back as I recall. I remember having 153 euro in fees after having 5 fake bids in a month on a PC I was selling, disputed the amount with Ebay showing that they where fake bidders and got it dropped down to a tenner.
