    Shuuushhh BCB,

Don't be telling them about that, its not everywhere you can get a 3 hour facial done by a stilletto wearing topless asian chick for ten dollars (not to mention the limitless free booze).

I bet next time I'll have to prebook now.

If your going purely for poker (i.e. not with the Mr's) this won't apply.

My advice is don't try to grab an hour here and 2 hours there. This really affected my game badly. It's always in the back of your mind you'll be leaving soon and you'll find it hard not to play hands you'd otherwise never get involved with.

I found the morning tourney in the MGM pretty good value.

    Good luck over there :)

I'd second this comment. The venetian has great structured games. They had a great festival of poker on the same time as the WSOP and got hugh numbers as well. Ceasers had a really soft 2/4 NL game...when i was there anyways:)

Nobody has mentioned ....The Bellagio...Eh Home of Poker in Vegas mate and I found to have some great action once you are willing to be patient and play your A game...I really enjoyed the 20/40 NLH cash games and There are great Satelite tourneys in the Morn for $200 odd into the $1000 buy-in afternoon tourney with huge prizemoney...But beware its also full of sharks der!!

Cesars was mentioned and I agree to an extent that there are soft 2/4 cash games der but the best way to approach Poker in Vegas is sober...What i did was got a few sights in during the day, hire a nice car and go driving, get some sleep in the evening and hit the Poker Rooms around 1am onwards...Lots of loose drunk poker players...Also cesar has MTTs all day...

Usually the higher standard hotels like Venetian, Cesars, Bellagio, Palms and Wynn have rich ppl staying der and are der to gamble not play poker so you could make a nice few quid if you can grind it out!!

Good Luck der anyways man its HEAVEN for the Poker Player!!! I was sick coming home!!!

Ok guys just back from Vegas, already have the next trip booked, thats how good it was

Stayed in the Bellagio, nicest hotel I've EVER stayed in

Poker room is great, very well run with good dealers who have control of the tables all the time, waitresses that are there every time you need them, games aren't that tough, I only played 2/5 NL game and found it to be very easy, maybe it was due to time of year etc that it was like this, didn't play tournaments here but there is a very good tournament on here every day for $500, dont know the structure but clock is 40 mins

Dont be surprised to see all the big names here, we saw Mike "the mouth" Jonnie Chan and Doyle Brunson, Eli Elezra and Lyle Berman all playing 2k-4k blinds in bobby's room which a glass room you can see into from the main poker room in the bellagio

Played cash in ceasar's and would recommend anyone going to vegas to play there, only played 1/3 NL here and its a JOKE, it's full to the brim with trash talking americans that love the Ace - rag, ie. you have AK flop comes A K 2 you bet american dwells up for 2 minutes before looking at his cards and saying " well u probably have me but I gotta call " then at showdown they have A 4o or some shiit, you would think they are hollywooding but thats just how they act,

Ceasars has a good selection of tourneys all day long $65 f/o every morning at 9,... 30 min clock, 2500 starting stack and an easy game, my mate took it down twice in a row winning 1k each time, they also have a good deepstack tourney every night at 7, $150 f/o 30 min clock

didn't get to play in too many casino's just floated around the bellagio and next door in ceasars, everywhere looks amazing from the strip places like MGM, Venetian

Another recommendation is when your going, ring the bellagio and ask for the poker room rate, if you play poker for 6 hours a day you get comped and your room will only cost $150 a night, which is only $75 each cos you pay for the room itself not the eople staying in it

The restaraunts in the Bellagio are quality as well "the Fix" for the steaks and "the Noodle bar" for eh...noodles

the service everywhere we went was quality and always greeted by welcoming helpful americans

there's a great outlet store just $10 dollars away in a taxi, well worth checking out

    So thats all folks

    and don't forget to tip

i only played in imperial palace and excalibur, but as far as i could see it was easy. mandalay bay poker room is nice too.

made a decision to save up for bellagio next time i go, that place is amazing

Is the poker rate 12 hours of play total or 6 hours (but divided by 2 people = 6 each)?

This is my plan next time i'm there but for some reason I thought it was 12 hours needed. My favourites for the cash games were Caesars, Venetian and the wynn. Bellagio was ok but way too small/busy for my liking. I also enjoyed the mirage and Binions both of which could be kinda described as old style. :)

The tourneys in Caesars are a rip off. I played a 200 game of which only 165 went to the prizepool and after about the 4th level the blinds started doubling! Basically a complete crapshoot after that.

yeah actually i agree with the tourney's in ceasars being a rip off, we played a $150 f/0 with only $120 going to the prizepool

it cost me €1100 to stay in the bellagio, flights & accomm.

I brought $1500 dollars cash and had another €3500 in the bank

first 2 cash sessions i had were fairly profitable so didn't actually have to use the bank at all
