Starting A Blues Rock Band!

Hi all, i want to start a bluew rock band! im a massive led zeppelin fan and i love classic rock in general. im sick of playing the pop punk stuff that i have been and i want to go back to the stuff that made me want to play guitar in the first place! I need a drummer,bassist and another guitarist.

ive been playing guitar for about six years so im quite proficient at this stage. im based in meath but im willing to travel to practice in dublin if need be!

my influences are as follows:
Led zeppelin:)
thin lizzy
Gary moore
guns n roses
rory gallagher
cream
stereophonics
rage against the machine
the who
the beatles

so PLEASE! if there is anybody with the need to play some real rock and roll, message me and we'll go from there! cheers!:D

are you trying to start an originals band or a cover band??

im a guitarist/vocalist in an indie band and like you i want to go back to the music that got me into playin guitar.im 18 and in north dublin.i can play lead too but could do with a bit of practise if im to get back up to scratch with it

welll im 19 so theres not too much of an age gap there! i would like to play the lead anyways so that would be no problem if you feel your not up to it. what bands are ya in to?

not really no.my current bandmates are'nt into this stuff, hence me looking for a new band.and most of my friends don't really bother with bands

We would be looking for a second guitarist if you would be interested... We are playing Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones, AC/DC and some CCR for the laugh....

I'm same as you, have about 12 songs that would be classified Classic Rock, and like most of the bands you have influenced, out of action till December, waiting on getting some decent equitment to record with, here's some of my hippy solo work

jus posted a thread, im likin the rock stuff use have mentioned, played ina band with similar tastes an heavier stuff aswell, playin some rock funk sorta stuff at the mo(primus mainly), but will to jam for the craic an see wat happens, gigged for 5 yrs an im 22 in swords...
