Netopia 3347w router keeps disconnecting

So, I have a Netopia 3347W wireless router provided by Eircom. It's setup not to broadcast SSID, and has WPAPSK encryption. It's also setup to act as a DHCP host. My laptop works perfectly with it.

My desktop, Xbox 360, and iPhone have issues, the connection appears to drop off every few minutes, only to be restored later again. Any ideas, solutions?

Have you tried changing the channel used for wi-fi? There could easily be another device nearby causing interference.

God yes, 13 different channels. But if it was the channel, why would the laptop work, and the other items not?

Not sure. If that was the case, perhaps it's because the other devices are of higher ERP.

I've officially thrown in the towel with the router. It seems from google, and boards search, that others are having the same issue with this router, and there's no solution to speak of. Eircom are sending a replacement. If that doesn't work, I'll just buy a higher specced model.

Could well be dodgy. Good to get a replacement and find out.

well, it's a little weird and may be due to different things but eircom usually recommends changing firewall settings when connecting consoles. It works in most cases although I'm not sure about iPhone and shouldn't affect connection in general.
If you want to give it a try go to 192.168.1.254 than to firewall and change it to lower settings
