    This short one is pretty handy from Terenure, takes just over an hour.

    If you want a longer spin just keep going south...

    Why not hook up with Orwell Wheelers who meet at 09.30 Sundays outside Joe Daly Cycles in Dundrum for a 2-2.5 hour spin. Riding with a bunch is good craic and you'll improve as a rider.

    Terenure -> Templeogue -> Tallaght -> Blessington -> Wicklow Gap -> Sally Gap -> Hellfire -> Rathfarnham -> Terenure

    Do you have to join the club first?

    Also: is there a website or any source of further info?

    Cheers for the info so far. :)

    So head to the mountains seems to be the general consensus.

    Think ill start of with Morgan's suggest, around an hour would be ideal to start off.

    thanks.

    Another option is up through firhouse, boharnabreena, then you pop out on the N81 at brittas. can spin out to blessington, or can cut back through tallaght. depends on how far you want to go, how you feel and how long you want to be out for.

    Nialo, ill head out with a club first, if you havent gone for long cycles before, orwell wheelers are good craic and a good option since you live close to them.

    goin on long spins on our own if your just started off cycling i would not recommend, it can be boring, you will have better craic with a club to be honest, your interest will grow and u will learn new roads and then go out on your own maybe.

    Terenure - Milltown - UCD - Blackrock - Sandymount - Ringsend and then home by the canal

    You don't need to join, you can just turn up. You must wear a helmet.
