    The manual with the AEG is close to useless, how is the front grip removed to get access to the battery wiring?

    You seem to have to remove the side rails. Then it should come off fine

    :confused::Yeah i agree with you about the manual. Try Loosing the two small screws on the sides near the magazine housing, then press in the retaining clips near the fore sight, the lower part of the fore grip should then swing out and you have access to the battery wiring. The D-boy M4 I have had a battery compartment with it but didn't like it so I moved the wirng around the fore grip and can now put my battery in there, i put some black insulating tape on it to hide the battery colour too, nothing too bulky on the fore grip now except the handle. (Waiting for a nice tac torch to sling under it now):
