Hey Guys, i'm thinking of booking a lesson at the gui academy. Has anyone taken a lesson @ the academy and if so would they recommend it. I'm having a few issues on the golf course, and no better time than the winter to sort it out.

The reason i'd go there is because I live close by, plus it seems to be well run. Please dont mention, BP as i'm not prepared to drive to portmarnock.

    Cheers guys.

Have heard great reports about Neil Manchip (ex Royal Dublin) who I think teaches there. We had a weekend workshop there last year and the facilities are top drawer. Best practice area you will find anywhere.

I spent two hours out there on Friday last week. Spent time in the bunkers and on the short game.

Then an hour with video analysis. I was with one other person. Facilities were good, I'd spend time on the short game area again.

    yeah I think so.

I go about once a week, and buy on average 1.5 large baskets - would normally cost me 780 paying full price but with membership it costs me 390

plus I get free use of putting green which is normally 3 euro a go - so another 90 euro saved there.

i use the dunboyne road entrance, it's just inside on the left.

u can use the main entrance too but you have to drive all the way across the courses/hotel etc.

so you'd need to be going fairly regularly to get value for it.

dont think members get reductions on lessons do they? i think they should get a few bob off

oh anyone know what time the academy closes at during the week?
