    Hi,

I'm going to get a digital camera for my girlfriend and was wondering what you would recomend. Cheers in advance
    • Needs to be below E200 (the further below the better!)
    • I'd prefer if used sd cards but doesn't really matter
    • A good battery life
    • She takes lots of picture in pubs and stuff so it would need to be good in low lighting situations
    • She complains her current camera is to slow at taking pictures, so a fast one(if thats possible!)
    • She certainly wont be making posters so no ridiculous MP!

Any advice is appreciated. Also i've no prob buying online either so if you wanna suggest a place that would be great!

    Something like this perhaps?

Should tick all the boxes with a bit of change to buy an extra memory card and a case...

cant really recommend anything in your price range,
if you do some research on the net then go to one of the review sites, you might do better :)

search for a particular feature set and max price and you're good to go (read the reviews and user's comments beforehand though).

Just did a quick search for a sub $200 ultra compact camera with image stabilisation - this is what came up:

    Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX3
    Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX10
    Nikon Coolpix S200
    Olympus Stylus 760

Have a look through. Ultra compact so it looks good and your gf won't mind carrying it around, IS so less blurry shots and also dirt cheap (it is the lowest price bracket ;) )

Gave her the camera and she loves it, thanks again for the suggestions. I'm in the good books for a while!

I'm really impressed with the IS , i mean i was literally shaking the camera and it would still take perfect shots!
