For any horror film fans out there:

DU Gender Equality Society is hosting a screening of the original (and best) Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1973). Guest speaker Ciara Barrett from the School of Drama, Film and Music will introduce the film and explain why the slasher film has long been an object of fascination and contradiction for feminist and gender theorists. But whether you're interested in the academic side or not, the film is a perfect (and pretty terrifying) way to kick off your Halloween celebrations! A reception will follow.
