Lightweight Development Laptop

Any suggestions for a high powered laptop thats light-weight? Will be doing a bit of travelling and don't fancy dragging around a desktop replacement style notebook - need it for any development work (ASP.NET) - mostly quick changes etc (hopefully!)

Ideally, I would like the following:

    Core 2 Duo 2GHz +
Weight < 2 KG (and the lighter the better)
    Screen Size not important
    Pref 80GB HDD

Is Sony VAIO SZ6 the way to go? Any alternatives or anything else coming soon?

    Thanks
    C

Great thanks - impressive spec & price on the M1330. As a matter of interest, what options tend to push the weight up - asking this as it says weight *starting* from 1.8 KG ?

The battery. If you go for one with more cells it will add a bit of weight to it. Everything else shouldn't affect it.

Looking at the M1330 myself....seem to do the trick on all counts really but note that the 9 cell battery sticks out about 3Cm's at the back.

Only you will know whats important to you. I hate coding on a small screen myself. As I'm generally driving weight of a laptop isn't an issue. Power is a bigger deal and I'd look for one with a long battery like.

Compare the prices of the Dell outlet, and the Dell outlet ebay, and the Dell main site. As any of the 3 can be cheaper than the other.
