    Not sure where to post this.Went for CE interview for secretarial post but was told there was cleaning involved too. That was not in the job ad?Can they do that.?Also there is a clause that says "and anything else we require you to do" or similar words. Is that is all non CE contracts? It seems to me they can legally ask you to do anything if you sign that contract

    This is pretty standard in most contracts... "and anything else deemed reasonable by management, even under protest".

    Companies want you to be flexible and at least they told you in the interview.

    I see where you're coming from and do agree to an extent, but it's hard to also specify all the exact requirements of a job in an advert.
