So picked one up today and can't seem to get my 360 Elite to recognise it.

    1. Put PGR3 disc into 360 (this has drivers for the wheel and cover of cd says to do this first).

    2. plugged pedals into base of wheel, and wheel into mains.

    3. Turned on 360.

    4. Green light comes on at base of wheel (beside small white button)

    5. PGR3 game starts.

    6. Go into menu and select wheel as default controller.

    7. Press centre X button on wheel, green ring around button lights up and rotates half a dozen times, then starts flashing (like what happens when you start 360 with gamepad), but it stays flashing. I would have expected a quadrant to stay lit permanently. Same things happens if you use press and hold down white button on base of wheel.

    8. All buttons on wheel are unresponsive.

I'm either doing something wrong or the Elite is not compatible.

    Can someone help ?

<edit>I just copped their is a connect button on the 360 and one on the wheel, so I guess I gotta pair them..doh</edit>

Am i right in thinking PGR3 doesnt work with the wheel.

Was Forza 2 the first game to work with it?

Have a google on this one

no, although the wheel was designed for forza 2 delays meant that PGR3 was bundled with it, and the copy of the game that comes with it has the drivers to allow the 360 to use the wheel (drivers were also included in a later dashboard update).
