I wasn't really aiming for high art with these, but once I'd put them through the PS wringer, I thought they came out ok. They played at a wedding I was at a few weeks ago, the one I was the "official" photographer at, and also a guest. So as the night wore on, my official duties dispensed with, I got more sozzled and my photography improved. How does that work?

I forget the name of the band, but they are pretty well known on the bar circuit in Belfast.

    Anyway, have at 'em...

i really like the first one , lovely early 60 s look , unlike Mele i don't like the last one , the second one would have been good , if you had captured more of the main man , maybe you can re-crop to do so .

I think the first is great in b & w, and the little blur , works for me

I sat looking at that for ages trying to figure out why the hell i couldnt see a dog......
I actually quite like the second one, the angle of the guitar gives something to draw the attention rather than the subject being the musician.
The first one i dont like, the blur doesnt work in this instance for me, and their is way too much space above the guys head.
The third one i like, the B&W works very well...in fact the B&W seems very good in all of them.

Yeah, I know what you mean about the blur, they were givin it loads and I needed a few chances at getting a decent shot, those were the best. The colour ones are a bit mad as they had loads of lights all over the stage. The last would be my favourite of them. TBH, the colour's a bit too distracting for me in the rest, but see what you think below. The feedback is much appreciated, cheers.

[Er, yeah, what's the dog thing about? Educate me :o ]

I also like the third one best. Yep, the colours are way too distracting, back to the B&W I think. First one is okay as well, your focus is really drawn to the main subject, although there does seem to be a lot of space over his head.

Jaysus, and there was me thinking I was missing some arcane bit of photo knowledge!
    Woof Woof.

The last one was stright from the camera. Looks a bit wierd to me, only one side of the guy's face was hit with the blue light, that's why I went monochrome.

Nice shots alright... Way better in B&W. The colour versions look a bit 'tacky' if you know what I mean... Wedding band green and red lighting is what I'm trying to get at :D

The change to B&W definitely was the way to go.. Good work!
