Hi guys just looking for some info and advice...im a big fan of mma and was thinking about getting involved but am wondering on what gym would best suite me considering im a complete novice? SBGn really impress me and looks like a top set-up,really professional and also has a gym which is a big plus because I like working out(although avent done so in maybe 3 months:eek:)and am on the lookout for a new gym.......the only problem is that im on the opposite side of the city but other than it really appeals to me....any on got any advice or input into what would be best or any other alternative?

    Thanks guys.

Opposite side of the city in which direction?

SBGn have produced some quality athletes - both in terms of MMA competitors and junior sub champs. Being an SBG gym it has a base in fundamental training in every class, so as such nearly every class should suit beginners.

If it's simply a case of being far away let us know where you are and we can point you in the direction of another SBG affiliate.

SBGn is right on the DART line at Howth Junction though so if you're near that on the other side of the city then its only ever 20-30 minutes away.

i live in rush and still travel out to sbgn when i can as there a very welcoming bunch of lads out there and a talented bunch of lads-if i lived closer i would of been a full member but i just cant get there often enough (thats why i set up my own club :D) if you can get there i'd strongly reccomend it as the coaches are good and most of the students will coach you too during sessions if you need it too. you could join a club closer to home and still train at sbgn too! either way-Reccomended

Rush Boxing club and Rush Martial Arts head coach.

I was going to post more or less the same thing about SBGn, re. paying a visit.

Even if someone can't become a regular full time member of SBGn due to travel restrictions etc a periodical visit will always pay dividends.

No one will leave a visit to Andy & and the lads without learning something.

Celtic MMA are out in Inchicore - Ian and Ais are very passionate about the sport and be a handy introduction for you.

We're on the 77 line if that's any use to you as well.
