    No pot can be awarded without a hand being shown at showdown on the river.

    If you also muck your hand the pot will be split, if you refuse to show your hand you'll be put on the clock to make a decision between showing and folding, if you dont act in time, you're hand will be folded for you. Probably forcefully :)

    Even if you CANT beat the board, you still win as you have the only live hand. But you must show it to claim a pot.

    Cheers, dunno why I thought that the rules differ in that aspect between cash and tourney!
