    Hey All,

We're getting a new kitchen fitted in January, but will hopefully have it ordered in the next few weeks because before and after xmas ill be too busy in work to do anything. Anyway i have a few q's that i was hoping you guys could help me out with.

I was looking at cash and carry kitchens and noyeks, are they good??

We will be getting the walls and floor re-tiled, will it be better to do this before or after the kitchen is fitted?

I was talking to C+C Kitchens on the phone and they were saying that i would have to get rid of the old kitchen myself, will i have to get a plumber to disconnect the sink and a electrician to disconnect the oven ect.. Other then them is it hard to take apart one?

Basically it would be a great help if you could tell me what order to do things in and what tradesmen i will need, or anything you think could be of help to me as i really dont want to f it up.
    Thanks in advance.
    Vinnie.

IMO, u rip out the old one first, disconnect the sink/etc and then tile the floor to just inside the line of the kick board and any end floor presses.

You get the new one fitted and reconnect the gear and then tile the walls down to the worktop and up to any wall presses.

Some of the C+C and other kitchen fitters will do the reconnecting for an extra fee, some dont.

Re the worktop, If u have mitered/hidden joints in the corners make sure that is priced in the fitting quote, some of the fitters are cowboys in the way they arrive and then say, this , this and this are all extra, especially if they think u know js about it, they have u over a barrel, so make sure he sees the drawing and agrees the joins

Taking the oild one apart is not ahrd once the wiring and plumbing are done.

if u have a drylined wall as opposed to a concret wall be careful taking out tyhe old kitchen as u may pull away lumps of the PB

    Have fun
