Razor blades in hand baggage

Heading to London tomorrow, with hand baggage only, for a few nights.
Can I bring a Mach 3 type razor in my hand baggage?
Here is an extract from daa website. I reckon I should be ok, but just want to confirm:
(razors that have the blade set into a plastic moulding are allowed, but razors that can be opened and the razor blade removed are prohibited)

Thanks for your help in advance!

Friend of mine had to take his out of his hand luggage in Stanstead on Monday.

That "plastic moulding" could be taking about disposable razors?

I suspect that you should be okay, but one sometimes hears of individual checkers taking a very rigid line. If you run into that, it would seem like a lot of bother to challenge his/her ruling.

Can you live for a few days with throwaways?

Did your friend happen to notice that 20 yards beyond the security barriers there is a Boots branch that has a wall full of razor blades for sale?

Of course the blades that are sold Airside in airports are completely safe but the identical ones people bring with them mean you are probably a member of an Al Qaeda cell.

    Seriously? Ha-ha!

Unfortunately he was too busy running to catch his flilght after spending over an hour queuing to get through security (as I did)
