Or rather he's going to be using 'mid-handicapper' irons.

Sounds like a marketing ploy to me.

"I just wish I was a 10-handicapper so I could play this club, it's so powerful," ......... Somehow Padraig I don't believe you.

Hardly if he's playing an entire tournament with them?

Many golfers have gone away from the blade type irons in recent years. For example, most Callaway players will be playing large headed clubs (as they don't make a pue blade). Same with Ping.

Can't understand why PH would feel the need to change the clubs he won the Open with though, look at Monty when he went to Yonex. Same when Phil Taylor changed his darts (and they were only fractionally different).

Padraig is always changing something. He never rests on his laurels. Constant improvement....onwards and upwards.

don't quite agree with this, most callaway staffers play the x-forged which are a small headed muscleback...

I'm sure he has tried out the clubs and is happy with them but the players are dangled carrots to change clubs often so we do the same.

But he's just using them for one tournament and it looks like he'll change next year - if they were that good why not stick with them?

Sounded like Wilson were hoping that he'd win the Volvo with them and the Order of Merit and then they would have taken ads out in magazines to remind us.
