Living here now but thought I would pass this on.Anyone thinking of doing their PPL in the near future might consider this.LanzaAir based in Lanzarote are offering full PPL courses for 6,600 euros. Here´s the link:

You´d have to cover your own accomodation and living expences but at that price it´s surely a snip. The added bonus is that everyday here is almost always CAVOK so no waiting by the phone for your instructor to tell you to drag your ass out to Weston....and don´t get me started on the scenery!:)

Yeah from what I heard the scenery is really cool, but not the type of scenry you want to do a forced landing on :)

Not entirely sure of your question there but yes we are in close proximity to the other 6 Canary islands but all airspace is controlled and, as you can imagine, very busy.So the student learns in a challanging VFR environment.

They fly the Cessna 172....heres a pic:

I forgot to mention earlier that although you would have to look after your own accomodation and food expences,it´s as cheap as chips here. For every euro it used to cost me to live in Ireland it now costs me 40 cents here.
