A skylight, thats the perfect name for it, or roof window I suppose. I want to put skylights in my garage roof but I want fixed ones, not windows I can open. There wont be any wall windows coz they are burglar friendly and take up good shelf space.

I cant see anyone who supplies them after trawling the websites. How hard can it be, I'll end up making my own ones at this rate. Anybody know of anyone?

You can buy them from Brooks Thomas. I saw one going for free the other day at www.jumbletown.ie

Ah lads ye must think I'm dense, I've heard of velux windows, I just want a pane of glass in a frame and the flashing to go with it ... readymade. I dont want to climb out thru it ten different ways while admiring the sixteen coats of varnish

Chances are that it will be custom made and no gurantee that it will not leak, and by that time you have it made you may as well put a velux windown in.

There specially deisgned for roofs. Put one in and just get window locks so that it cannot be opened

Link to show the lock that Velux have.

Yer never know you might want to use it as a window in the future ?
