Does anyone know of a good Restaurant in Cork City, Dont mind what it costs, just as long as the food is really good, not Chinese or Indian

Abrakebabra on Patrick Street. Open late. Go for the chip butty baguette, tasty AND classy

I always find Eco's out in douglas to be top class for food and atmosphere and at reasonable price. In the city centre itself Issacs on mccurtain street is very good and rossinis italian. Cafe mexicana off paul street and amicus relocated to the ginger bread house are all very good. Luigi malones by the opera house is quite good too

Try Jacques or Jacob's on the Mall for top notch food.

The restaurant in the Kingsley Hotel is very good also.

If you're in the mood, drive down to Kinsale and try some of the fish restaurants there

This is a nice place to eat for a romantic meal.

    Rossini's Italian Restaurant
    33/34 Princes Street, Cork,
    Tel: (021) 4275818

I would also recommend Issacs, but as already said it's bustling but beautiful.

I was in Jacobs on the Mall on Saturday night, Nice place but they could do with turning on the heat (I never feel the cold) Now I know it has high ceilings & it cant be the easiest of places to heat,
As for the food, Would'nt be in a rush back, Over priced for what you got, 6 Starters & maybe 8 main courses to choose from. All main courses were at lease 30euros each. Now I dont mind paying for good food & service, One of the party had roast chicken which was priced at 30euros plus service charge & the chicken we had the following day in a carvey was much better & tasted better,
It was nice to see but would be in a hurry back,
I would however recommend the Ambassador Chinese Restaurant, We had a beautiful meal there the evening before.

The Four Liars Bistro is class!!

Check out the lunch menu too.

All the food comes from the English Market.

I was in Cork at the start of October, went to the Market Bar (I think its on Market Street or Market Lane, very close to the bus station) Food was fantastic, totally mouth watering and just the perfect portion size. For two of us I think the meal came to 40euro for main courses and dessert. We couldnt fault the place at all it was fantabulous
