I'm looking into harvesting rainwater as well, house is nealy finished.

Just some external works to do including rainwater drainage etc.
Have already installed a tank in the loft in readyness for storing rainwater pumped up.

Still need to install gutter downpipes and underground tank, undecided on pump type etc.

Any info to help me complete would be appreciated.

db: I remember an important issue is the quality of the physical and UV filters.

For the UV to work well the water needs to be v clean.

Also the filters on the downpipes should be easily cleaned

My understanding was that the water had to be free of SS or at least these had to be setteled out or caught by the filters. UV kills bacteria only but has to be able to access all areas of the water to work but cant with SS

BTW, I should add that I only intend to use this water for flushing toilets.
