I discovered I have what appears to be a group of dead pixels between 4-10 on my camera its an s9600 still in guarantee.
So I'm just curious whats the standard practice should I contact the shop I bought it from or the company's base in Ireland.
And would they just replace the sensor or replace the camera or do dead pixels not warrant replacement.
    Thanks for any info.

Go back to where you bought it from. Explain it to them, and give some samples. They may just give you a new one.

Get some Electrostatic generator, send 2000 Volt pulse into your camera and voila - 100% dead camera without a trace of damage - i.e. 100% warranty repair/replacement.
    Enjoy!

Thanks but apart from the fact that I don't know where to get an Electrostatic generator I'd prefer not to do that thanks anyway.
