freeview tv on pc

    dont know if im in the right section or not i was looking at a freeview usb that plugs into the computer comes with an aerial its for freeview tv if i was to get would i be able to use it here in wicklow or is the freeview only available in the uk thanks

    had a similar conversation with owner of a local computer store, you'll only get freeview if your close enough to pick up the UK signal from the north

    other wise, if your using the aerial socket, you will only be abe to pick up the irish stations as if you were watching them on your regualar TV

    You could hook up a PCI TV Card and get tv via a satellite dish - hook it up an 2nd LNB port or from the LNB output from a set top box receiver - I assume there is external usb PCI TV Cards as well.
    Win Nova TV is one I think - and your PC can decode/unscramble the signal I believe.....of some subs services.
